Offline-First mobile field reporting platform

A mobile-first, offline-capable reporting application that standardizes site data capture, photo documentation, and client-ready report generation for industrial field technicians.

Built for field consultants and technical specialists at an industrial equipment business who capture equipment performance and inspection readings on industrial job sites, shipyards, and blast yards.

Unlike fragile paper forms and fragmented post-visit desktop write-ups, this progressive web application operates seamlessly without internet access, binding technical readings, annotated site photos, and dual sign-offs directly into verified, locked report templates.

The problem

Field technicians previously recorded complex site readings on paper clipboards and personal camera rolls, leading to lost notes, transcription errors, and hours of after-hours desktop formatting. Inconsistent document templates and informal email review chains caused delivery delays and mismatched records across core business systems. Without dependable connectivity on industrial sites, cloud-dependent tools repeatedly failed, forcing teams back to manual documentation.

The solution

The solution was built as an offline-first mobile application utilizing local data storage that automatically synchronizes site measurements, annotated photos, and signatures once signal returns. Standardized server-side document generation creates uniform, branded reports instantly upon sign-off, eliminating template drift across regional teams. Role-based review queues and automated CRM synchronization provide management visibility and ensure complete client records without duplicate data entry.

The goal

Replace manual paperwork and fragmented write-ups with a unified mobile workflow that produces verified, client-ready technical reports directly from the job site.
